Turning the Tassel: Hiral Patadia, Pepperdine Graziadio Business School Class of 2025

This commencement season 色片软件免费 will celebrate more than 2,500 graduates across its five schools. In order to mark the momentous occasion and celebrate the voices of our newly minted alumni, Pepperdine Newsroom asked one student representative from each corner of campus to answer three questions: 鈥淗ow did you get here?鈥 鈥淲hat did you do here?鈥 and 鈥淲here will you go from here?鈥
The testimonies shared with us highlight the remarkable stories of our students while also illustrating how Pepperdine helps propel the next generation of thinkers, dreamers, and doers forward.
Hiral Patadia, Graziadio Business School Class of 2025
How did you get here?
Before Pepperdine, I had carved out my own space in the business world鈥攐wning and operating Swarovski crystal businesses and launching a creative line that reflected my love for beauty, design, and storytelling. But even as I poured myself into building something from the ground up, I felt a persistent pull鈥攁n urge to stretch further and to challenge myself intellectually and to evolve beyond what I already knew.
That鈥檚 what led me to Pepperdine Graziadio. I wanted to ground my entrepreneurial spirit in advanced education to better understand the systems, strategy, and leadership it would take to scale a brand that could live at the intersection of culture, commerce, and community. I wasn鈥檛 just looking to grow a business. I was looking to grow as a leader who could build something that honored identity, challenged norms, and created meaningful impact. Pepperdine Graziadio gave me the space to do exactly that.
What did you do here?
At Pepperdine, I fully showed up as a student, a leader, a collaborator, and a creator. I didn鈥檛 just pursue an MBA鈥擨 pursued meaning. I founded the Graziadio Business of Beauty Club because I saw a gap that I knew needed to be filled. I wanted to create a space where identity and industry could coexist and where beauty wasn鈥檛 just discussed but redefined for students to explore the beauty industry through a strategic, inclusive lens. And we did just that.
Beyond the club, I competed in nearly every case competition, gratefully earning top placements and sharpening my ability to think critically and lead under pressure. I mentored first-year students, contributed to faculty research, and fully immersed myself in the Graziadio experience, pushing boundaries while staying purposeful. More than anything, it was about showing up for my community and being the kind of leader I believe the future of business demands.
Where will you go from here?
I will be stepping into my role as the cofounder of ManeRx鈥攁 culturally inspired, dermatology-tested hair care line that honors heritage while championing innovation to formulate products that celebrate identity that is rooted in science and soul.
I believe beauty can be more than skin deep. It can be healing. It can be heritage. And with the foundation Pepperdine has given me, I鈥檓 ready to bring that belief to life one product, one person, one strand at a time.
